Picasa Name Tagging

I have spent countless hours assigning keywords and other meta-tags to my archive of 30,000 personal photos. That daunting task might become a little less daunting, after experiencing name tagging, a new feature released in the most recent version of Picasa, Google's web based image application. The technology is not perfect, but it will get better. I anxiously anticipate similar features being added to consumer based desktop photo applications like Aperture or Adobe Lightroom.
